Formspree's free plan allows 50 submissions a month and keeps 30 days of history; its paid plans start at $10 a month billed yearly. QList forwards HTML forms to email with no submission cap, no history expiry and no paid plan. Below is a side-by-side with Formspree and Web3Forms using the limits published on their own pricing pages, and a plain list of what QList does not do.

Sources: formspree.io/plans and web3forms.com/pricing. Formspree lists $10, $20 and $60 per month as the yearly-billed rates for Personal, Professional and Business; the monthly-billed prices are $15, $30 and $90.
Where QList is the better fit
- Low-volume forms on many sites. A contact form that gets 60 submissions a month, or an agency with a form per client site, hits Formspree's free cap immediately and pays per account. QList has no cap and one account can hold a form per client, each routed to a different inbox.
- Long-lived history. Formspree's free archive is 30 days. QList keeps the history.
- EU data. Submissions are stored in the EU.
- Spam with your own keys. You bring your own reCAPTCHA v3 or Turnstile keys; nothing is shared across tenants, and you see rejected attempts.
- QR codes in the same account. If you also print QR codes, the scan analytics live in the same dashboard.
Where Formspree or Web3Forms is the better fit
- File uploads. QList ignores file inputs. Formspree Personal and above, and Web3Forms paid tiers, accept them.
- Auto-replies. Formspree sends a confirmation to the person who submitted; QList does not yet.
- Webhooks and integrations. Formspree's paid tiers and Web3Forms' paid tiers push submissions to other tools. QList sends email and keeps a history, nothing else.
- No account at all. Web3Forms issues an access key by email without a dashboard. QList needs a (free) account because the history and spam settings live there.
Those three missing features are on QList's list. This page is updated when they ship.
Switching from Formspree
Change two things in your form:
<!-- before -->
<form action="https://formspree.io/f/abcdwxyz" method="POST">
<!-- after -->
<form action="https://api.qlist.io/api/formsubmit" method="POST">
<input type="hidden" name="jg_id" value="YOUR_FORM_ID" />
Then map the special fields:
| Formspree field | QList equivalent |
|---|---|
_subject |
_subject (same) |
_next (redirect) |
jg_redirect |
_gotcha (honeypot) |
jg_botcheck (hidden checkbox) |
_replyto |
Not available; the sender's email field is in the message body |
_cc |
Not available yet |
_language |
Not needed |
Your own field names (name, email, message) stay as they are. Full field reference on the HTML form to email page.

Frequently asked questions
Is QList a drop-in replacement for Formspree?
For the common case, yes: change the form's action to QList's endpoint and add a hidden jg_id field. Formspree-specific fields such as _replyto or _cc have no equivalent yet; see the table.
What is the catch with a free form backend?
With QList, the things it does not do yet: file uploads, auto-replies and webhooks. There is no submission cap and no paid plan. If a paid plan is ever introduced, existing users are told well in advance.
Does QList store submissions?
Yes, in a per-form history in the dashboard, hosted in the EU. Formspree's free plan keeps 30 days of archive; QList does not currently expire history.
Can I use my own reCAPTCHA or Turnstile keys?
Yes, and you must: QList does not run a shared captcha key. Your keys are stored encrypted in your account.
